About Daybreak

Daybreak is a new community within South Jordan. It's a huge community development project that looks promising at creating a comfy area for families. It currently has community parks, a recreation center, an elementary school, and a lake. There are tons of trails to walk on and eventually it will have a dog park... not that I need one, not a huge fan of dogs as a pet for me. They provide boats that you can take out on Oqurrh lake and fishing there as well.

They have a splash pool for kids but they are currently building a pool too. They have tennis courts, basketball courts, and plenty of parks to BBQ with your mates.

They are building a a shopping center and a business complex as well. Eventually TRAX will have a line out to the community that will take you all the way to downtown SLC.

It looked like a very family oriented community and with it growing so fast, I thought it would be a great time to get in it. If you're curious, you can see more information at www.daybreakliving.com

I paid another visit to the model home to take some photos to post since I knew everyone would want to see what I purchased. I've posted them here on another website if you'd like to see them. Of course, it comes unfurnished, but I hope to make mine look at least as good as this. Maybe with the help of some friends and family *wink wink*, then I can decorate it better.

Finally!

I made a huge decision this weekend. I decided to purchase a home. I have been looking for a townhome for about a year and a half now. I mostly kept myself to townhomes because it fit my lifestyle as well as my budget. I didn't think I would be able to find something that would fit my budget and be a single family home. So, I heard of the opening of a new area in Daybreak and decided to check it out.

I walked in and found that this single family home had everything I was looking for; a large tub in the master bath, an open living room that flowed into the kitchen, and a huge room in the basement I could use as a studio to name a few. I didn't wait long before talking with the sales rep and handing him a deposit. That was tough to do and I've been sick with nervousness ever since.

It's an Ivory Home located in a new community called Daybreak in South Jordan, Utah. The floorplan is called Alden European. I liked the sloped roof and the vaulted ceilings on the main floor. I think this will be enough room for me with plenty of room to finish myself in the basement.

This is certainly the most expensive thing I have purchased, I just hope all goes well and I don't experience anything that has happened in the housing industry this past year.
